Week of February 10th

What we will be working on …

Reading:  This week we will be finishing fables.

Writing:  This quarter the focus is descriptive Writing and Poetry.

Math:  We will begin Chapter 8 this week-Fractions.

Social Studies:  The focus is on Alaska and we will begin learning about the Iditarod.

Science: We will continue with the water cycle and begin a class science fair project.  Students will go through the scientific method.

Important Dates:

After school activities happening this week:  Art Club, Ski Club, Choir, Tutoring, and Good News Club

Parent teacher conference slips will go home this week.

Monday, February 20th: NO School

Wed., February 22nd: ½ Day

Thur., February 23rd: ½ Day

Friday, February 24th: NO School

Homework This Week

Students received last Friday:  Spelling Words and  Fluency

Tuesday and Wed.:  Vocabulary

Daily: Minute Math, Read 20 min.
