Week of September 12

What we will be working on …

Reading:  This week students will learn all about types of questions. The week will begin with a lesson on asking questions before, during, and after reading. Then, students will begin learning about QAR (Question- Answer Relationship). Students will focus on how to find and answer explicit questions using complete sentences.
Math:  Finish reviewing addition and subtraction. 
Science:  Study the different types of clouds.

Social Studies:  Continue studying the continents and oceans.

Vocabulary for this week is...
Deemed:  to think of in specific way
Puzzling:  causing one to be confused
Departed:  to move on or go away
Peak:  the highest point, or maximum
Journey:  act of traveling to another place
Unaware:  having no knowledge of something

*Continue to practice sight words.  This is not timed.  Students should be able to read their sight words fluently.
